So this is my son, holding up the quilt in our backyard, the back is covered with angels. So it seems fitting that my youngest angel would help me!
I had this fabric for awhile. I made my mother a quilt with using the background squares it turned out lovely but I wanted to do something a little different for myself. I have actually had these squares cut for me and they have patiently been waiting to be assembled for many years. So I went digging through my old quilt magazines and found this idea. I of course changed it from the original idea , because this is what I do, and I am pleased with how it turned out.
In this picture you can see that I quilted swirls and stars in the background. I had such fun making this quilt. This was yet another old project that I have now completed - Yahoo!

Your quilt is beautiful! I love the swirls and stars! I agree that it's wonderful that you made something for yourself. Now you can curl up under your quilt and enjoy it.
