Tried this veining idea with the leave...never had done this before. I usually do blanket stitch around items and this started as a mistake but turned into a great idea. I actually like this leaf better than the other. Since the leaf was a lighter color it showed the variation of color better!
A friend went through and completed the Mast Naturalist class. I saw a larger version of this quilt on the cover and it screamed her name! So I decided to make it! Not knowing if she would appreciate handmade items, I decided I would make it for her anyway. I loved the colors that came together as I quilted it. This is actually my new favorite piece....until the next one!!
