I work at an Elementary school as a Special Education Assistant. It's not always a fun job. One of the Special Education Teachers that I worked with has always treated with kindness and respect. Two years ago when I first started working there, I met her, right about the time she found out she had breast cancer. She endured a long year and she was resilent. My respect for grew as she endured a divorce and moving out on her own. She is just a strong woman. I like those kind of people...the type that when things don't go according to plan they keep trudging forward and find their own way. Last year a group of us decided to do the Susan B. Komen Breast Cancer walk. In the end another breast cancer survivor walked with us too and I walked in honor of my mom who also has survived breast cancer. Here is photos of that event that I used to make a pillow for my work friend in honor of her courage! (She made us all the pink headbands!) I will add more photos of the event later.
